Miniature Figure Painting Class Description


Join us on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, for a class devoted to painting miniature figures!

We will cover all the basic preparation, assembly, and painting aspects. Our hands-on portion will be devoted to painting the flesh areas of a miniature figure. If time permits, we will also paint the remainder of the figure.

While we will mention all sorts of possible paints you can use, we will concentrate on acrylic paints and how to use them effectively.

Participants will be provided with a fully cleaned and primed figure to paint and 3 Reaper Synthetic Paint Brushes.

Participants will need to bring their own wet palette if they want to use one. A wet palette is highly recommended. We have some for sale at the shop, or you can make one.

Paints for the flesh areas will be provided.  You can bring additional paints for the non-flesh areas if you want. We will be using the Vallejo line of paints.

There will be a Figure Painting Starter package available that will include all the needed items.

If you need some sort of magnification, please bring it with you or we sell a very nice, inexpensive magnifier.  Any magnifier you use should have a separate lens for each eye – single-lens magnifiers do not allow you to have any depth perception.

This place is awesome! They had just about every scale model manufacturer represented. Some of the decals in the huge drawers were out of production rare! The largest scale aircraft section between Little Rock and Kennesaw I have seen.
Half the hobby side is train stuff, and they have a large RC section. There was also a more thrift-type side that was interesting to browse. Just come and look!

Absolutely love this store. Am a kit builder and they have a wide collection of those, most any brand you can think of. I try and spend my money here as opposed to the almighty eBay or Amazon since I'd like to think I help keep this place open. All sorts and brands of paint to feed my airbrush. For non modelers, they have a phenomenal collection of RC, an inside slot car track, an offroad RC test track for smaller off road cars. An amazing collection of train models and trains. Ho type stuff. I'm not into those but they have a huge variety of this stuff. Then a bunch of collectibles and a card playing corner. Definitely worth a visit!

An amazing Mecca of rc/modeling hobby supplies and goods. The aisle of model paint will bring happy tears of elation to those who paint. Also they have an amazing crawler table set up for rc cars.
